Nagaland Govt orders mandatory quarantining of air travellers

In an advisory order by the Homee Department of the Nagaland Government, all returnees who are planning to travel back to Nagaland are requested to postpone their return plans temporarily, when commercial flight services to Dimapur are resumed.

The Principal Secretary (Home), Abhijit Sinha further stated that those whose return is unavoidable will be medically screened upon landing at Dimapur Airport and therefore be taken to institutional quarantine centres designated by the Nagaland Government in Dimapur. Hence, the returnees will have to undergo a minimum of 14 days quarantine.

Meanwhile, as stated in the advisory all the inter state borders will continue to remain sealed till further orders.
