Former Superintendent of Police (SP) Karimganj, Kumar Sanjit Krishna has been arrested by Criminal Investigation Department(CID) in connection with the sub-inspector (SI) exam paper leak case.

Earlier, on Thursday the top cop has surrendered before the police at DGP office.

Sanjit Krishna’s name surfaced after one of the accused Rubul Hazarika named him as the official who had given him access to the question papers against payment of hefty sum.

As per officials, it was in Karimganj that the question paper was first leaked and both Sanjit Krishna and Ex Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) PK Dutta were key collaborators in the leak.
