In a bid to to reduce and mitigate the impact of plastics on the environment, the Kiphire Town Council (KTC) has announced that it will be buying plastic every Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at KTC Solid Waste Management Site, at OLD NST, Kiphire.

According to a notification from Nyempo Wallim, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Administrator KTC, the rate of purchase will be as follows:

1. Mineral Water Bottles : Rs 5/Kg

2. Other Plastics ( Shampoo, Cream, Vegetable oil bottles etc) : Rs 3/Kg

The ADC requested the President of the Pastor Union, Kiphire,/ Pungro / Seyochung and all the Ward authorities, Kiphire Town to initiate the dissemination of the above information in respective Ward and Churches accordingly.
