IndiGo started a direct flight between New Delhi and Dimapur on December 26.
Meanwhile the first IndiGo 6E 2433 flight arrived at the Dimapur airport from Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in Delhi on Saturday.
According to Budget carrier IndiGo’s website, the first flight will leave Dimapur Airport at 2:35 pm and arrive at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), New Delhi at 5:35 PM, signifying a travel time of exactly three hours.
The aircraft received the warm welcome. It was welcomed with traditional water cannon salutes by spraying arcs of water over the flight. There were 149 passengers on board Dimapur Airport Director Mughavi Zhimo said that the new flight has received a very good response from the passengers. He said that the arrival flight had 149 passengers while 139 were on board the departing flight.
