In a recent development Indian and Chinese soldiers have engaged in a tussle at Naku La in Sikkim last week, resulting in injuries on both sides, reports said on Monday, 25 January.
As per the reports, China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) made an attempt to intrude, resulting in the clashes, leaving as many as 20 Chinese troops and four Indian soldiers injured.
Reportedly, the situation is said to be under control at the moment.
It needs to be mentioned here that the Indian and Chinese soldiers have been frequently engaged in skirmishes and face-offs that led to high-level talks and dis-engagement at the border areas. The last being the Doklam stand-off near Sikkim.
The latest incident comes months after the violent face-off that took place on June 15, 2020, when PLA soldiers clashed with the Indian troops in the Galwan valley of eastern Ladakh.
