Rahul Gandhi while the campaign in Assam’s Sivasagar on Sunday, promised to boost the tea employees’ day by day salary from Rs 167 to Rs 365 if they’re voted to power.
“What are you able to purchase with Rs 167 in this day and age? We will raise to Rs 200 more to make it Rs 365 according to today,” said the Congress leader.
Slamming chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal for following diktats of Delhi and Nagpur and neglecting the quick problems with the state, the Congress leader stated, “You can control television with a remote, but not a state like Assam. The chief minister should understand the soul of the state,” He added, “Assam cannot be broken by any power. Those who will try to spread hatred will be firmly dealt with by the Congress and the people of Assam.”
