Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually lay the foundation stone of Dhubri – Phulbari Bridge on February 18.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will also be present on the occasion.
With a length of 19.282 km, the country’s largest four-lane bridge will facilitate travel between Assam and Meghalaya. The construction of the largest bridge is expected to be completed by September 2026.
The bridge will be built at a total cost of around ₹4,997 crores. It will connect Dhubri in Assam to Phulbari, Tura, Rongram and Rongjeng in Meghalaya.
