Akhil Gogoi Seeks Financial Assistance to Contest from Sivsagar, Shares Bank Details

Founding president of the newly floated regional party Raijor Dal Akhil Gogoi on Friday appealed to the people of Assam to support him financially to contest the upcoming Assam assembly elections.

Gogoi, who is contesting the 2021 Assam Assembly polls from the Sivasagar LAC, tweeted about the need for financial support for the newly floated regional party.

He further said that he aims to stand and speak for the people and said that he wants to roar like a lion and stand against ever anti-Assam, anti-community actions of the BJP-led state government.

He further informed that a candidate requires an estimated amount of Rs 30 lakh for contesting the elections.

Those willing to extend financial assistance to Akhil Gogoi can deposit the amount of their choice in his State Bank of India account bearing the number – 40061709121 and IFSC- SBIN0003030.

It may be mentioned here that Gogoi has been in jail since December 2019 and he is currently admitted to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.

Gogoi had initially filed his nomination papers for the Mariani LAC as well, which he later withdrew.
