Mizoram Home Minister Lalchamliana said that the inter-state border dispute with Assam is yet to be resolved as per Mizoram’s best interest. The home minister informed the Assembly on Monday, March 15 that the two neighbouring states have not reached an agreement on the border issues.

The state home minister shared this in writing responding to questions raised by three opposition members of the Congress and the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM).

Lalchamliana was quoted as saying that the Centre is trying hard to resolve the border dispute between the states of Mizoram and Assam, however, it is not known when the matter will be resolved.
