Jorhat Lok Sabha MP Topon Kumar Gogoi has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time on Friday.

The 52-year-old BJP MP got himself tested at a screening centre at Sonari.

He was scheduled to participate at an election rally on Saturday along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Bokakhat.

It may be mentioned here that Gogoi had tested positive for the virus in March last year and administered plasma at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
