Addressing an election rally in Silchar on Friday, union home minister Amit Shah said that BJP will form the next government in the state as the people of Assam will bless the party again.

“Assam is all set to bless BJP led NDA with an absolute majority. I am grateful to the people of Silchar for such massive support in today’s rally,” he said.

He further said that people will vote for the party as they have decided to provide government jobs to 2 lakh youths and also ensured private jobs to 8 lakh youths.

“We have decided to provide government jobs to 2 lakh youths and ensure private jobs to 8 lakh youths in Assam when India completes 75 years of Independence,” Shah said.

“We have also decided to increase the daily wage of tea garden workers to Rs 350 per day,” the union home minister added.

Phase 1 of the three-phase Assam Assembly election begins on Saturday and polling will take place in 47 constituencies.
