Congress-led Grand Alliance to Form Government in Assam, says APCC GS Apurba Kumar Bhattacharjee

Addressing an election rally in Paneri in the Udalguri district, Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) general secretary Apurba Kumar Bhattacharjee said that the Congress-led grand alliance will form the government in Assam in 2021 and that they would drive away all the miseries of the people.

He was campaigning for Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) candidate Karuna Kanta Swargiary at Dimakuchi stadium on Sunday.

He also lashed out at the BJP-led government in Assam and said that the Sarbananda Sonowal-led government has failed on every front and alleged it of lying.

He said that BJP did not keep any of the promises, especially providing ST status to the Adivasi community within six months after being voted to power.

Urging the people of the constituency to vote for the Congress-led alliance, Bhattacharjee expressed confidence that the grand alliance will win majority seats in the first-phase elections that were held on March 27 on 47 constituencies of Upper Assam.
