Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) will form the next government in Assam by winning over 75 seats, said former minister of states for railways Rajen Gohain after casting his vote in Nagaon during the second phase of elections on Thursday.
“BJP will win over 35 seats out of the total 47 seats in the first phase,” Gohain said.
“We will win in majority of seats in the second phase as well,” he further said.
“There is no doubt in our victory. BJP will undoubtedly form the next government in Assam by winning over 75 seats,” he said.
Polling is taking place in 39 assembly constituencies in Assam during the second phase.
