Congress has betrayed every community while NDA has worked for all communities in Assam, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi while speaking at an election rally in Kokrajhar on Thursday.

“We intend to protect and promote the cultures and languages of all communities,” he added.

“Congress’ long rule choked Assam with bombs and blockades while NDA has brought peace here,” Modi further said.

“Atal Ji’s govt formed the BTC and now our government has signed the historic Bodo Peace Accord,” he added.

“Peace, progress and protection is our mantra,” the Prime Minister stressed.

Lashing out further at the Congress, the Prime Minister said, “Congress has surrendered our namghars, sattras to illegal encroachers and held back the development of the people.”

“NDA has united everyone in Assam and brought development for all,” he added.

“The Mahajot has insulted our state symbol- the Gamusa that we wear with pride. It clearly shows their anti-Assamese agenda. The people of Assam will never forgive them,” PM Modi said.
