A COVID-19 positive youth hailing from Telangana’s Nalgonda has been isolating himself on a tree for 11 days to avoid spreading COVID-19 to his family.

According to reports, the 18-years-old was forced to isolate himself on a tree as he shared a single room that includes a kitchen along with his family members.

Notably, the youth identified as Shiva decided to build himself a Covid ‘ward’ — a bed made of bamboo sticks fastened to the branches of a tree in the compound of his home so that he could stay away from his family members, in order to spread the virus.

While in isolation, Shiva mostly spends his time on his mobile phone, which he keeps in a tiny basket tied to the tree.

Further, his family members send his daily meals through a pulley system that Shiva made using rope and a bucket.
