Sikkim’s Villa Tosca, a boutique aparthotel at Baluwakhani is shortlisted among the nation’s 50 best villas by Conde Nast Traveller India’s latest edition.
It was shortlisted on a collective editorial choice.
Established five years ago, Sikkim Villa Tosca is a family-run enterprise, licensed under the name of Jumki Doma Bhutia.
Villa Tosca is a splendid Italian designed architecture with three suites. It’s an exclusive private house with lofty high ceilings to enhance the interiors. Dedicated to details and finesse, the biggest draw is its terrace garden.
According to a Sikkim Express report, Villa Tosca offers customers hospitality services, great food, organizing adventure treks, mountain biking and day visits to adjacent villages and local monasteries.
“It came as a pleasant surprise to us as we had never expected to reach that level and we live in a big country with extremely good properties all over India. That was beyond our expectation. I received an email from the magazine stating that we have been chosen for the list before the second Covid wave lockdown. There were various queries we had to respond to over email regarding the facilities provided, locations and other information on the villa,” said Diki, Jumki’s sister.
