With Eyes On 2023 Assembly Polls In Tripura, Union Ministers Increase Visits

The BJP central leadership determined to achieve victory in the 2023 assembly elections has already started laying the groundwork In Tripura. Union ministers are being asked to visit the state and meet common masses, especially from the Schedule Caste (SC) and Schedule Tribe (ST) communities. BJP leadership is going to leave no stone unturned to gain momentum ahead of assembly polls.

The coalition government led by BJP came to power in March 2018 after defeating the 25-year-old Left Front government. It was only possible due to the votes of the ST and SC communities.

The union ministers and the central functionaries have already been instructed to start preparing a road map for the 2023 general assembly elections In Tripura

The union minister of state Arjun Ram Meghwal who arrived in Tripura on Sunday, July 11 paid a visit to the house of Satya Ram Reang who has been conferred the Padma Shri award last year. He also held meetings with the leaders of the Marwari community at Agartala.

Later, on Monday, the MoS visited the residence of Tanuj Saha, office-bearer of All India Safai Mazdoor Sangh, and held a detailed discussion about the various problems of the sanitation workers and their solutions.

During a courtesy call on July 12, Monday afternoon, Meghwal held a discussion with Kalyani Roy, Chief Whip of BJP at the state guest house and held elaborated talks related to development-oriented schemes to enrich the organizational and cultural heritage.

Meanwhile, the union cabinet minister of Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda who also visited Tripura on Monday and reviewed all the welfare schemes for the indigenous at the State Guest House here in Agartala.

He claimed that the central government is coming up with an ambitious plan for the indigenous people centering around villages.

According to him, the financial, social, and regional balance for the development of tribes will be properly maintained in the new scheme of things devised by the Central Govt.

Munda during his visit worshipped at Mata Tripura Sundari temple and inspected Nukhung Hamtharai Van Dhan Kendra in the Gomati district of Tripura.

In this center, high-quality forest products are being produced by Self Help Groups (SHGs) of the indigenous communities.

He also inspected Eklavya Model Residential School in the Killa block of the Gomati district of Tripura.

It is quite clear that the central leadership has started the preparation to achieve victory with more seats in the 2023 assembly election in Tripura keeping Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb as the face.

In a bid to strengthen the organization further, the BJP national president recently appointed Kishore Barman as the organizational minister for Tripura Pradesh BJP replacing Phanindra Nath Sharma.

It is noteworthy to mention here that, the BJP central leadership had planned the visit of the central ministers before the 2018 assembly elections in Tripura. The leaders had visited the house of the karyakartas and grassroots level workers in the remotest areas in a bid to reach the people at large which reflected in the results of the elections.
