Satyadeva Narayan Arya, the newly appointed Governor of Tripura, arrived in Agartala by flight on the afternoon of July 12.

Chief Secretary Kumar Alok, Director General of State Police VS Yadav, and West Tripura District Magistrate Devapriya Bardhan welcomed the Governor with a wreath at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport.

The newly appointed governor, accompanied by his family went directly to the Raj Bhawan from the Airport.

On arrival at the Raj Bhawan, the newly appointed Governor Satyadeo Narayan Arya was welcomed with a guard of honor. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Revenue Minister NC Debbarma, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Santana Chakma, Assembly Speaker Rebati Mohan Das, and MP Rebati Tripura. High officials of the state administration were also present.

It may be mentioned that the current Governor Ramesh Bais has been appointed as the Governor of Jharkhand and Satyadeo Narayan Arya has been appointed as the 19th new Governor of Tripura.

The newly-appointed governor said he would work for the progress and development of Tripura and the people of Tripura and called on all to join the process.
