Manipur : Introduction Of “Bamboo Traffic Barricade” In Churachandpur District

On Tuesday July 20, the Churachandpur Traffic Control Police (TCP) under the guidance of Churachandpur Superintendent of Police (SP), Srivanand Surve inaugurated the ‘bamboo traffic barricade’ at Tuibuang bazaar region.

The introduction was initiated under the presence of additional SP Lawrence K Munluo, Traffic OC James Vaiphei and KSO Churachandpur members.

Introduction of the initiative basically dealt to bring safety for the residents.

According to the SP, most of the road accidents in the district occured due to drunk-and-drive cases. As a result, the death figures have seen a spike during the last few months.

These bamboo barricades will prove slightly safer to such reckless drivers.

It will be placed commencing from the Mini Secretariat till Lanva brick in the town.
