Manipur : Journalist Kishorchandra’s Wife Writes To State Government For His Release

After the release of Manipur activist Leichombam Erendro on Monday July 19, and taking down of the National Security Act (NSA).

Now, the wife of Journalist Kishorchandra, has written to the Manipur Government, urging to release the Manipur-based journalist at the earliest, and revoke the NSA slapped against him.

Erendro and Kishorchandra were detained, over the Facebook posts that criticized BJP leaders on the use of cow dung and urine as cures for COVID-19.

Although the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal West granted them bail on May 17. But, the state government slapped the NSA against them the same day.

A stringent action that led them to spend days in the Manipur Central Jail, Sajiwa.

Written on Tuesday July 20, Ms Ranjita urged the authorities to release her husband as both the individuals were detained under NSA.
