The Sikkim CM, Prem Singh Tamang extended financial assistance to the families residing in South district, who have been affected due to landslides and disastrous floods during the monsoon season.
It has also observed the presence of the Block Development Officers (BDOs) of Namchi and Nandugaon. Besides, Prem Singh Tamang interacted with the people from the different areas of South District at Mintokgang.
During the interaction, he addressed their individual and collective grievances. He handed over cheques from the Chief Ministers Relief Fund (CMRF). The amount ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 3 lakhs were provided to 20 beneficiaries in urgent need to repair their house, that has been severely affected during the commencement of monsoon season.
He urged the residents to utilize the funds in a meticulous way for repairing, upgrading and the maintenance of houses. Besides, he also rendered quick assistance to the family for emergency expenses.
