Bengal Denies Entry Of Sikkim Residents Without COVID Vaccination, Negative Certificate

After Sikkim reported 97 cases of ‘highly transmissible’ Delta variant, West Bengal has now imposed stringent measures for passengers to enter the state.

Accordingly, the Darjeeling district administration, has strictly informed Sikkim visitors for producing the COVID-19 fully vaccinated or Negative Documents to freely enter West Bengal.

Most of these passengers, unable to produce such documents were denied entry.

According to Sikkim Express report, on Thursday July 22, West Bengal Police and Health department teams strictly inspected the documents at Rangpo and Melli checkposts.
