Recently, a Brazilian man set a new Guinness World Record with 951 burpees in an hour. Through the games, he raised funds for his niece, Rebeca who was born last year with severe heart disease.

Identified as Cassiano Rodrigues Laureano, the Brazilian man did the same on his 35th birthday.

Verified by Guinness Record officials, Cassiano was born in Sao Gabriel municipality in southern Brazil, Laureano.

A professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, Laureano had originally aimed for 1,000 burpees, but the aim felt short due to a leg injury that he sustained for two days before the attempt. He had trained for around nine months before setting the record.

However, the previous world record was held by Nick Anapolsky, who performed almost 879 chest-to-ground burpees in an hour earlier in 2021.
