Sikkim CM Greets Nepali Community On ‘Nepali Language Recognition Day’

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay has extended his warm greetings on the occasion of ‘Nepali Bhasa Manyata Diwas’ or ‘Nepali Language Recognition Day’.

Sikkim CM stated that mother tongue is the heartbeat of human life. Language is artistically presenting the fundamental characteristics of the nation.

He termed the language been completed in different genres, further mentioning about storage of traditional Nepali words, and depicting countless proverbs.

On the auspicious occasion of Nepali Language Recognition Day, the Sikkim CM expressed his heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the Nepali speakers spread around the world.

He continued to address the relentless and long-pending demands of Nepali speakers all over India.

The Nepali language was recognized as one of the official languages of India on August 20, 1992 through inclusion in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution.
