Arunachal: Offline Classes From Class 9-12 To Resume From Tomorrow

The Arunachal Pradesh government has decided to resume offline classes from Class 9 to Class 12 from September 1, 2021. This was mentioned in a circular released by the Directorate of School Education on August 30, 2021.

A detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been prepared to ensure Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) is followed by all the concerned stakeholders especially teachers, school staff, students and parents of the students.

The decision with respect to the reopening of offline classes from Class 1 to Class 8 shall be taken in the next phase. Until then, online classes shall continue for these standards, the circular stated.

The circular has separate guidelines of SOPs for Schools, teachers and parents. The Head of School shall also be responsible for ensuring the proper implementation of this SOP.

Further, a school management committee having representatives of parents & teachers shall also have to be constituted to monitor implementation of new norms as per SOP in the schools by all concerned.

Furthermore, all teachers, staff, and students above the age of 18 who are eligible for COVID-19 vaccination have been directed to get themselves vaccinated before September 5, 2021.
