Assam : 19 Cobras Rescued In Nalbari

In one of the major breakthrough, the forest officials of Nalbari forest Range under North Kamrup Division has rescued a total of 19 cobras.

According to officials, all these 19 cobras were later released into the wild.

“In one of the big breakthroughs by our staff,19 numbers of cobras have been rescued & released into the wild by Nalbari Forest Range team under North Kamrup Division.” – tweeted by North Kamrup Forest Division.

Recently, in a major development, a team of scientists from India, the UK, and the USA have identified a new snake species in the state.

According to scientists, this snake species have been detected in a period of over 100 years.

It incorporates of distinct features like – a distinct bindi-like mark on the back of its neck and hence, the reason why it’s named as – Rhabdophis Bindi.
