Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Sunday welcomed as many as 3,651 former members from 1,187 families who joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from CPIM, Congress and TIPRA Motha.
Deb attended the induction ceremony after he inaugurated Sabroom sub-divisional hospital’s new building. The new building is equipped with modern equipment with a capacity of100 beds.
Lately, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb had been seen conducting such induction rallies all across the state which indicates that BJP is trying to strengthen its grass root base with an eye on the upcoming elections.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by the union minister of state for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar, Sabroom MLA Sankar Roy and others.
Speaking at the rally, the Chief Minister claimed that the BJP will remain in power in Tripura and CPIM will never be able to form a government in the state. Besides, he also criticized the Trinamool Congress, which is looking to make its presence felt with its latest ‘shenanigans’.
He compared the Trinamool Congress leaders from Kolkata with monkeys claiming that the people of Tripura and the BJP-led government will push them back with proper education.
“Our aim is not to collect donations or levies from the common people on various pretexts like in the past, but to make the economic resources and livelihood of the people smoother”, said Deb.
