On Thursday, September 16, the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) has announced the commencement of Unlock Phase-VI with effect from Friday, September 17 till September 30.
The decision to enforce Unlock-6 from September 17 to 30 with further relaxations was taken at a review meeting of the High Powered Committee (HPC) on Covid-19 held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio here on September 13.
This meeting was also attended by members of State Level War Room, and Department of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), wherein the views of District Task Forces (DTFs) on COVID-19 were also taken into account.
According to a release issued by Home Department, 100% attendance is permitted in all the Government offices, including Nagaland Civil Secretariat & Directorates, subject to adherence to COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour, and fulfillment of the requirements for vaccination/testing for attendance in office.
Regular classes will be conducted in all the schools in rural areas of the state for students of Class V-X. It will be allowed with 50% attendance, and adhering to all provisions of SOP to be issued by Home Department.
Meanwhile, with regard to urban areas of Nagaland, all schools for students of Class V-X will be allowed to open for regular classes, with 50% attendance. This will come into effect from October 1, 2021, subject to adherence of all provisions as contained in the SOP to be issued by home department, the release further added.
The respective DTFs shall decide on the timings for opening of shops and other business establishments within their respective jurisdictions, and may allow beyond the existing permitted time, from 6 AM to 6 PM till night curfew.
Besides, the department has also allowed the resumption of Polytechnics offline classes for the session July-December, 2021.
Night curfew will be relaxed by 1 hour, and will come into force from 9 PM to 4 AM, the release stated.
Furthermore, swimming pools and cinemas will be allowed to open with 50% capacity, by adhering to COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour.
