On Friday, September 17, Jagdish Mukhi took oath as the new Governor of Nagaland (additional charge).
Justice Songkhupchung Setro, Gauhati High Court administered oath at Dr. Imkongliba Ao Hall of Nagaland Raj Bhavan, Kohima.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by the Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, MLAs and other senior dignitaries of the state.
The Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has also congratulated the Governor.

Prof. Jagdish Mukhi succeeded RN Ravi, who is now transferred to Tamil Nadu.
It is pertinent to mention here that Mukhi is the 30th Governor of Assam and assumed office on October 10 in 2017.
