In the talks between NSCN-IM and Akshay Kumar Mishra, newly designated as interlocutor of the Government of India, the former reiterated its stance on a separate flag and constitution. The first round of talks are being held in Dimapur after relations with RN Ravi fell bottom 2 years back

Mr. Raising a participant from NSCN-IM at the peace talks group speaking to the media stated that they reaffirmed the Framework Agreement in letter and spirit. However, he was adamant about the demand for a separate flag and constitution.

“We reaffirmed the Framework Agreement in letter and spirit. If Flag & Constitution are not recognised, revolution must continue,” said Rh Raising.

On Monday, September 20 closed-door negotiations took place between Ato Kilosner Th Muivah led NSCN-IM leaders,  and GoI interlocutor at Police Complex Chumikedima.

Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma is slated to join the talks on 21st September 2021.
