The 11 Myanmar nationals who were detained with fake Aadhaar cards at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, Imphal have been sent to eight-days on police custody till October 8.
Remanded by the Imphal West Chief Judicial Magistrate, these accused have been identified as – Tungbiakmung, a resident of Suangchoih village; Ciin Deih Sang, a resident of Sezang village; Gin Za Tuang, a resident of Guasing village; Tual Suan Vum, a resident of Sezang village; Zam suan pau Sawmhal, a resident of Cchin Hill.
Besides, the six other accused, namely – Nang Suan Lian, Do Mun Zau, Sing Cin, Gin Khup Pau, Pau Za Lian, Vum Tung Nung, all hailing from Guasing village of Myanmar have also been sent to police custody.
It is pertinent to note that as many as 14 Myanmar nationals were detained with fake Aadhaar cards at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, Imphal on Thursday, who were later handed over to Singjamei police Station for further legal action.
All these nationals were detained at the departure area of Imphal Airport, after been suspected of holding fake Aadhaar cards for travelling from Imphal to Delhi by Indigo flight No 6E- 2209.
They were produced before the court by Singjamei police under section 468/471/34 Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 14 Foreigner Act.
