Recently, the invigilators nabbed a government residential school teacher attempting to cheat through his cellphone during the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) Exam held at the Indira Gandhi Government (IGG) College in Tezu (Lohit).
Identified as Hindonso Kri, the 30-years-old is a contractual teacher at the government residential school in Sarti, Walong of Anjaw district.
According to reports, the invigilator present at IGG College’s Room No 17 heard a ringtone during the examination’s last minutes, thereby apprehending the candidate right away and confiscating his phone.
Consequently, the IGG College centre superintendent, the observer and the Lohit Superintendent of Police (SP) were contacted to inform about the following.
A case [No 39/2021 u/s 420/417/188/120 B IPC r/w Section 66 (D) IT Act] was registered against the accused by the centre superintendent of IGG College at the Tezu police station.
According to sources, out of 2,190 registered candidates, as many as 1,278 candidates took the exam in five locations of Lohit district – GHSS Tezu, GSS Tezu, GSS Telluliang, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Tezu, and IGG College, Tezu.
Conducted in 130 locations throughout 12 districts, a total of 22,660 candidates appeared for the aforementioned exam.
