Four Manipur judokas along with their coach are all set to participate in the Junior World Judo Championship 2021 to be held in Olbia, Italy.
The four-member team along with their coach have already departed for the Championship, which will commence from October 6 till October 10.
These four judokas consist of – Laishram Jagadish, who will participate in men’s 66 kg weight category; Linthoi Chanambam for women’s 57 kg weight category, Rebina Chanambam in women’s 70 kg and Laishram Roshni Devi in women’s plus 78 kg category.
Laishram Roshni Devi participated in several championships including : Asia-Oceania Cadet Championships 2021, Macau Cadets Asian Cup 2018, Asian Cadet Championships 2018.
Meanwhile, Rebina Chanambam has earlier participated in championships, namely – Macau Cadets Asian Cup 2018, Asian Cadet Championships 2018.
Laishram Jagadish, who will participate in men’s 66 kg weight category in the Junior World Championships has earlier participated in the maiden tournament of : Asia-Oceania Junior Championships 2019.
While, the women’s coach from Manipur is Oinam Rameshwori Devi.
It is pertinent to note that the Indian squad for the championship comprises of as many as 14 players in all along with two coaches.
