The proscribed militant organization – National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) is said to have allegedly abducted atleast 3 labourers from Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh, as informed by BJP leader from the state – Tapir Gao.
According to Gao, the abduction is linked with extortion demand. Although, one worker has been released but two are still believed to be in captivity.
Meanwhile, the BJP MP appealed to the militant outfit to release the innocents, and asked them to avoid such moves during ceasefire negotiation period.
“I am appealing to the underground group for releasing them – they are innocent labours, and the outfit won’t receive from them. I am appeal them to release the labourers ASAP and maintain peace. The negotiations and ceasefire process is underway with the Government of India,” said Tapir Gao.
He further informed that three adjoining districts are immensely disturbed with the major development, and he has also spoken to Deputy Commissioner (DC) to finally resolve the matter.
