In a major operation against drug menace, the Assam Police has recovered a large stash of contraband substances worth around Rs 5 crores from Bokajan district of Assam.
According to ANI report, the heroin consignment weighing approximately 660 grams of Heroin has been seized from a vehicle near Bokajan Police Station.
During the frisking and checking, security forces have successfully nabbed 2 persons – residents of Dimapur of Nagaland. Accordingly, they have seized huge consignment of contraband substances hidden inside 51 soap cases.
The apprehended persons were planning to deliver such substances to a person of Bokajan area who was arrested recently along with 695 grams of heroin.
Moreover, an investigation into the matter is underway.
