Assam : PM Modi To Inaugurate Seven Cancer Hospitals At Dibrugarh On April 28

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate seven cancer hospitals at Assam’s Dibrugarh district on April 28. He will also lay the foundation-stone for seven additional cancer hospitals across the state.

Prior to the visit, the Assam Chief Minister – Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday arrived at Dibrugarh to assess the preparations.

Taking to Twitter, Sarma wrote “We are all set to welcome our PM Narendra Modi ji to Assam on April 28. Held a meeting at Manohari Tea Retreat, Dibrugarh, to discuss the plans for the inauguration of Dibrugarh Cancer Centre by the Hon’ble Prime Minister.”

Sarma directed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and officials to pay extra attention to drainage in light of the probability of rain, as well as other arrangements, while taking stock of the venue.

“Inspected the Dibrugarh Cancer Centre, which will be dedicated to people on April 28 by Adarniya PM Shri @narendramodi ji. A joint initiative of GoA & @tatatrusts, this state-of-art facility will provide best-in-class services to cancer patients of Assam & especially Upper Assam” – he further added.
