The Sivasagar Police of Assam have confiscated a substantial amount of stolen items, including – drilling pipes and a hydraulic packer machine, from the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).
These equipment were stolen from the Nazira-based office of the ONGC in Sivasagar district of Assam.
Based on specific inputs, a team of Sivasagar police officials led by Nazira Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) seized the stolen components from a dump yard, owned by one Hamidur Rahman.
Its worthy to note that the ONGC’s Nazira office had previously informed the police about the loss of its equipment.
Taking to Twitter, the official account of Sivasagar Police wrote “Based on an information from ONGC Nazira today regarding the theft of drilling pipes and a hydraulic packer machine, SDPO Nazira along with OC Simaluguri and IC Lakwa raided the suspected damp of one Hamidur Rahman and recovered all the stolen items.”
