‘Femina Miss India 2022’ considered as one of the coveted beauty pageants in India, has recently issued the names of top 31 state winners shortlisted for the gala event.
The list also incorporate of 8 northeastern ladies, who have earlier clinched esteemed beauty pageant titles.
‘Miss Arunachal 2021’ – Tengam Celine Koyu hailing from Pasighat District of Arunachal Pradesh is all set to represent the northeastern state at the ‘VLCC Femina Miss India 2022’. A Sociology student, Tengam is also the founder of One for Education, a project that renovates and repairs run-down educational institutions.
Besides, ‘Miss Sikkim 2021’ – Pranita Chettri hailing from Tashiding in West Sikkim, has been shortlisted as the Sikkim finalist for the beauty contest.
Gargee Nandy from Meghalaya is all set to represent the northeastern state in the beauty contest. She has earlier won the Talentica Miss India Global held at Goa in 2020. Trained in Ravindra Sangeet and Nritya, Gargee is also a state-level lawn tennis player. She belongs to a simple middle-class family, her father is a Government servant, and her mother is an entrepreneur who runs her beauty salon in Shillong.
She is also currently heading the social media team for multiple beauty brands at The Professional World and other verticals. She has a degree in Mass Communication and Journalism; and is also a freelance influencer marketer and an inflight content distributor.
A diligent, headstrong and self dependent woman – Diya Palit is all set to represent Assam at the upcoming beauty pageant. She pursued her schooling from Vidhyanidhi Education Society in Mumbai; and completed her higher studies from Sarojini Naidu College For Women in Kolkata.
Angobi Chanu Loukrakpam, Lalramhlui Sailo, Lovi Awomi, and Hritwika Majumder are also on the list, representing Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura, respectively.
