The distinguished entrepreneur hailing from Arunachal Pradesh – Tage Rita Takhe has been nominated for the coveted ‘US Department of State Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership’.
Founder of the first-ever pure & organic kiwi wine in India – Naara Aaba, Takhe aspires to revitalize the local farming community by sourcing its crop and maintaining the nutritional value of exotic fruits’.
Taking to Twitter, the Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister – Pema Khandu wrote “Sweet success! Congrats Tage Rita, founder of @Naara_aaba, on being nominated for US Dept of State Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership. Rita has done exemplary work of promoting wine made out of exotic fruits of Arunachal Pradesh & creating sustainable livelihood for locals.”

The agricultural engineer who hails from the lush green valley of Ziro, is best known as ‘India’s first kiwi wine brewer’. In 2018, Takhe was honored with the ‘Women Transforming India Awards’.
Organized by the United Nations (UN) and the apex public policy think tank of the Government of India – NITI Aayog, the coveted ‘Women Transforming India Awards’ was bestowed upon Takhe for her exemplary contribution towards promoting exotic fruits of Arunachal Pradesh & generating sustainable livelihood for local populace.
Meanwhile, Takhe was recently adjudged with the prestigious ‘Nari Shakti Puraskar Awards’ for her outstanding contributions towards women’s empowerment, particularly towards vulnerable and marginalized women.
Its worthy to note that Takhe worked as an engineer with the Arunachal Pradesh Rural Works Department for 17 years before turning entrepreneur in 2017 with Lambu Subu Food and Beverages.
