The Assam Government led by Chief Minister – Himanta Biswa Sarma completed its first year in power today; in presence of the cabinet ministers and Union Minister of Home Affairs & Cooperation – Amit Shah.

In order to mark the first anniversary of the Assam CM-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, the Union Home Minister today presented the much-coveted ‘President’s Colour Award’ to the police officials for their exceptional achievement in combatting insurgency, regulating crime, preserving law and order, and safeguarding lives and property.

It’s a moment of pride for Assam & fitting tribute to Assam Police’s spirit of ‘জনহিত জনসেৱাৰ্থে’ (always at public service).

This historic feat would not have been possible without @assampolice’s dedication & sacrifice in maintaining peace in society and helping us remain steadfast in our goal of realising Adarniya PM Shri @narendramodi ji’s vision of a New & Vibrant Assam.” – he further added.

Meanwhile, Shah also planted a sapling here on Tuesday morning, in order to commemorate the first year of the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led Assam government.
