The Union Minister of Steel – Ram Chandra Prasad Singh today called-on the Sikkim Chief Minister – Prem Singh Tamang at his official residence at Mintokgang; and hailed the northeastern state’s developmental achievements over the last three years.
He praised the state government’s efforts to maintain the clean & healthy environment by prohibiting the utilization of packaged water bottles.
During the conversation, the Union Minister advised that trains to the northeastern state be dubbed ‘Sikkim Rajdhani,’ and that rail coaches be constructed in accordance with Sikkimese customs. In this regard, the Chief Minister has proposed to write to the Railway Minister.
According to the CM, a proposal for the construction of a National Level Yoga Center along Guru Dongmar Lake region has been discussed with the Union Minister of Ayush – Sarbananda Sonowal, which will assist Yoga aspirants in practicing meditation throughout a serene and silent Himalayan environment.
The Union Minister also promised to pursue the State Government’s ideas in the Ministry.
