The 17-year old soccer player from Meghalaya’s Tura – Chusrang Ch Sangma has been selected to train in the NorthEast United Football Club (NE Utd FC) Academy, a club which competes in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) – India’s premier football league.
A player of Chipakkore Football Club based in Tura; Sangma has been selected for the feat, from over a thousand applicants.
Meanwhile, the Meghalaya Chief Minister – Conrad Sangma congratulated the youngster for the achievement. “We are proud of Chusrang Ch. Sangma from Tura for being selected into the @NEUtdFC Academy. Wonderful coincidence to have the Co-owner of NE United, Mr. JB with us in Tura today.” – he wrote.
