The Tripura government intends to provide free coaching to the poor tribal students, residing across 500 hamlets in the state.

According to Tripura’s Tribal Welfare Minister – Rampada Jamatia, “the state government has decided to provide free coaching to students in 500 villages in the state – an endeavour for the welfare of indigenous people. Initiatives have been undertaken to implement this plan by August 2022.”

During the launch of Mission 100 Vidyajyoti School programme in Sepahijala district, Jamatia informed that the government will be recruiting one teacher for each village to provide coaching; thereby implementing various plans for the development of indigenous citizens in the state.

“Implementation of various programs has already started. The state government is ensuring that tribal students have a higher chance of academic achievement. We are also planning to open a hostel for all the students, who will go to Delhi for higher studies,” he added.
