In a massive crackdown against the insurgency activities prevailing across Northeast India, the personnel of Assam Rifles in collaboration with the Manipur Police recently apprehended an active cadre of proscribed outfit – United National Liberation Front (UNLF) from Kanto Sabal in Imphal West District.

Acting on specific inputs, the Keithelmanbi Battalion of Assam Rifles launched a joint operation with Manipur Police, and apprehended the militant.

Taking to Twitter, the official account of the paramilitary troop wrote “ASSAM RIFLES APPREHENDS UNLF INSURGENT IN MANIPUR Keithelmanbi Battalion of #AssamRifles with #ManipurPolice, on 23 Jul 2022, apprehend an active cadre of proscribed group #UNLF from Kanto Sabal in Imphal West District, #Manipur.”
