Agartala, September 12, 2022 : The former Chief Minister of Tripura, Biplab Kumar Deb on Monday filed his nomination papers and said the BJP will return to power in Tripura and Haryana in the assembly elections in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
Taking blessing from his mother and offering prayer along with his wife Niti Deb at Sri Sri Anukul Thakur, Satsang Bihar here in Agartala city, Deb left for the Legislative Assembly premises and submitted his nomination papers to Suithufru Mog, Returning Officer for Rajya Sabha by-election.
While filing his papers, Deb was accompanied by the incumbent Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, union minister of state Pratima Bhoumik, Pradesh BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, MP Rebati Tripura, cabinet ministers, MLAs and senior leaders of ruling party were present.
Later speaking to media persons, Deb applauded the soul man of BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president JP Nadda, union Home minister Amit Shah, union Defence minister Rajnath Singh, Chief Minister Dr Saha, Deputy Chief Minister Dev Varma, union minister of state Bhoumik, party’s state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, MP Rebati Tripura, cabinet ministers and BJP MLAs, karyakartas for believing in him for their post.
“Keeping faith in me, the party has nominated me as the candidate of Rajya Sabha election and today, I submitted my nomination papers, along with that, I have been given the responsibility of ‘Prabhari’ for Haryana. I express my gratitude to all the people of Tripura. And in both these states, I will spend 15 days in each”, he added.
Deb said “Now, under the leadership of incumbent CM Dr Saha, the vision of PM Modi of developmental initiatives to the last person of the society will definitely reach. I firmly believe that the responsibility which I have been assigned with will be giving my cent percent for the development. From 2015, I started working in Tripura. In the same way, I will work with collective efforts of all including ‘Pristha Pramukhs’ and karyakartas’ will return BJP into power in 2023 as well as achieve the target ‘Vision 2047’ in Tripura.”
Former CM and Rajya Sabha nominee also said “Praying to Mata Tripureswari, I am determined that the BJP-led government will return to power in both the states- Haryana and Tripura in the next assembly elections slated to be held in 2024 and 2023, respectively under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
Earlier, the incumbent Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr Manik Saha was elected as the MP of Rajya Sabha on March 31 and resigned on July 07 last. After his resignation, the Election Commission issued fresh notification for by-poll in the lone Rajya Sabha seat of Tripura on September 22 next. On Friday last, Left Front candidate Bhanulal Saha filed his nomination papers for contesting in the ensuing by-election of Rajya Sabha.
