Union Home Minister – Amit Shah Unveils Effigy Of ‘Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’ In Sikkim

The Union Minister of Home Affairs & Cooperation – Amit Shah today unveiled the statue of the influential statesman, first Deputy Prime Minister & first Home Minister of free India – Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Raj Bhawan in Gangtok, Sikkim.

The Sikkim Governor – Ganga Prasad; Sikkim Chief Minister – Prem Singh Tamang (Golay); Speaker of Sikkim Legislative Assembly (SLA); Cabinet Ministers and delegates from Delhi; Head of Departments (HoDs) from various departments of Sikkim Government were also present at the event.

At the outset, a Documentary on “Life of Hon’ble Governor, Shri Ganga Prasad” was also released.

Thereafter, a Coffee Table Book “Pragati Pathi” was also launched by Shah, in presence of the Governor, the Chief Minister; and other dignitaries.

Later, the Union Home Minister also unveiled the Flag Mast at the premises of Raj Bhawan.

Meanwhile, the Union Minister has left for Assam, after concluding his day-long series of events in Sikkim. During the visit to Sikkim, Shah discussed about a wide range of discussions on the entire gamut of the welfare of the state.
