The senior faculties of ICFAI Mizoram led by the newly-appointed Chancellor of the University – Prof. Haragopal Reddy today called-on the Governor – Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati at the Raj Bhavan.
During the meeting, the Chancellor of ICFAI Mizoram apprised the Governor about several initiatives that are in the pipeline to get implemented shortly.
Following this briefing, the Governor expressed his gratitude for the efforts made to raise the calibre of instruction and courses provided at ICFAI Mizoram to a level comparable to some of the more prestigious ICFAI universities in the nation.
He offered some suggestions of his own that he believed would improve the employability of the students from the ICFAI Mizoram campus.
The Governor has also advised the ICFAI Mizoram to invest more in providing better infrastructures which he believed is extremely vital for creating a better learning environment.
Besides, Dr Kambhampati also advocated the introduction of more courses in skill development with a special focus on the healthcare and hospitality sectors.
The Vice-Chancellor of ICFAI University Mizoram – Prof. RP Vadhera, Director of ICFAI University’s Coordination Department – Dr. Damodar Reddy; and Registrar of ICFAI University Mizoram – Dr. David Lawmzuala were also present at the meeting.
