The Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya – Prestone Tynsong noted that the state administration is committed to improve the health infrastructure by upgrading various health centres across the northeastern state; and identifying villages which lack basic health amenities.
In accordance with same, the government is setting-up health facilities like sub-centres, Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Community Health Centres (CHCs) for better deliveries of health services along the rural locations.
Addressing the foundation-laying ceremony for the upgradation of Tyrsad Sub-Centre to Primary Health Centre at Tyrsad, the Deputy CM also called-upon all stakeholders and the general public to cooperate with the state government in addressing the health issues and to improve the overall health scenario.
The ceremony was also attended by the MLA – Eugeneson Lyngdoh; and L. Blah, MDC.
Speaking on the occasion, Tynsong stated that with the upgradation of the sub- centre, people of Tyrsad and its adjoining areas can access better healthcare facilities.
