The Tripura Chief Minister – Dr Manik Saha asserted that the state government has undertaken requisite measures to set-up the state’s 3rd medical college in Dhalai District.
It also intends to establish a Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in association with All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), for state-of-the-art amenities to deliver adequate and compatible healthcare services to the citizens.
Its worthy to note that the northeastern state has two medical colleges, including one been operated by a government-appointed society since 2005.
Addressing a programme held at Ramkrishna Mahavidyalaya in Unakoti district on Friday, the CM has also pointed-out that the state administration is working on a roadmap to set-up another medical college at Ambassa.
“The proposal has already been sent to the central government, for necessary clearance and funding,” – he noted, adding that the project is at the final stage of consideration.
