The troops of Assam Rifles on Tuesday confiscated a large stash of Methamphetamine tablets worth of Rs 30 crores from Aizawl.
Also termed as Meth, these contraband substances are a stimulant used as a recreational drug.
Based on specific inputs, the personnel of Assam Rifles and officials of the state’s Excise & Narcotics Department installed a mobile vehicle check-post at Falkland in the northeastern part of Aizawl on Monday.
During the operation, the paramilitary personnel intercepted a car and recovered 92,550 Meth tablets worth Rs 30.84 crore, neatly concealed in the vehicle.
The security forces have also apprehended the sole occupant of the vehicle.
